The document to the left gives some interesting insights to life in Long Bennington in 1938. Lighting is by oil lamps [Bryn was wired for electricity in 1946] and drinking water is from a well. Despite the lack of running water there is apparently a flushing toilet [?] and provision for a bath, if required, at no extra cost. There is a range of charges for both single and double rooms with or without breakfast and high tea.
