The attached photo is of the World War Two pill-box on Westborough lane.

Although it is just outside Long Bennington parish boundary it has always been a feature of the village.

Several people in the village remember a Search Light and an Anti Aircraft Gun in the near vicinity of the pill-box, to protect the surrounding area during the war.
